yet, you should attend the next one before the trip.
Great social atmosphere in the evenings.
We will be staying in a hall on the floor, so sleeping mats and bags are needed.

We take polo boats

you aren't comfortable in one then come on Wednesday instead. Any questions ask
Charlotte/Ben/Noah/Josh
Do you want to go kayaking in the cold and damp? Of course you do.
Meet at the
boathouse at 7:15am, off the water by 8:30am so everyone can get to those all
important 9am lectures. Will be a mix of sprints, polo skills, chat, and
general hard work but also fun.

Hi all, Charlotte here!
DUCC presents its first #ShePaddles White Water Paddle. It will be a grade 2/3 river for girls interested in in white water but: haven't had the opportunity to sign up yet/want to progress their paddling/haven't been white water paddling in a while etc.
It will be a small-ish group to help you progress your confidence and practice techniques on the river.
This is the perfect preamble before refreshers, or a great start to WW kayaking with DUCC!
Note: if popular it is likely we will need a male driver for numbers - Josh (our Trip officer) has happily agreed to support this initiative and be a driver for us... and photographer!
Current plan: arrive at the boathouse for 9:00, go to a river - tees area/tyne area, (weather dependant), run the river, and practice techniques and then head back to the boathouse at early evening time.
Any questions - give Charlotte a message!

We take polo boats and spraydecks for these sessions. Please only come if you've been in one before!
Fancy kayaking in the cold and damp at the crack of dawn? Of course you do!
Meet at the boathouse at 7:15am, off the water by 8:30am so everyone can get to those all important 9am lectures.
Because this session is more polo focused, it will be a lot of sprints (gotta work on that straight line speed), chat, and general hard work but also fun.
If you wake up in the morning and decide it ain’t worth it, I get it, just please drop me a text so we’re not waiting for you :)
Just a spontaneous session on the ergos, feel free to come if you've never been on one before just make sure you sign up :)
Cancelled this week since the river is too high
If you don't get a space on this send me a message - if there's enough interest we'll take another car and add more spaces.

Play polo in a nice warm pool, this is a great chance to practice skills you might not want to in a river without having to worry about cold or the flow.

If we have enough rain to have river levels above a scrape, this should be an easy intermediate WW paddle this Saturday the 13th.
Meet at the boathouse 9 a.m. Any questions please feel free to ask Josh or Nick.
The forecast is not promising much rain, so there is a chance of it not running.

Probably the final whitewater trip of the year! This is open to anyone who has done WW before. The river we will do is tbc depending on the river levels.
Please make sure you have lots of layers as it will likely be quite cold. Spare clothes, fleeces for the river, lots of socks, towel etc. And snacks/lunch.
Meet at the boathouse at 8:30am. Not sure when we would be back but probably no later than 4pm.
If you have any issues please message Nick Case.
More spaces may come open if there is the demand
