Just a chilled afternoon out on the River Wear - a few games, a few drills, otherwise just a relaxed paddle session to help you destress from exams.

Bring a spare change of clothes, shoes for the water, and a towel (we'll supply the rest). Where possible, come to the session in the clothes you intend on wearing on the water, to minimise time in the boathouse.

Tuesday Morning POLO Fitness Session

9:00-10:30

General fitness drills to help improve skills required for canoe polo (Sprints etc). Thi session is mainly aimed at those attending our BUCS polo competition.

Monday Evening Paddle

16:00pm-18:00pm

The evenings are getting lighter, so that means more paddling time! 

Just a chilled evening out on the River Wear - a few games, a few drills, otherwise just a relaxed paddle session. Likely to be a mix of kayaking and canoeing depending on the week.

Bring a spare change of clothes, shoes for the water, and a towel (we'll supply the rest). Where possible, come to the session in the clothes you intend on wearing on the water, to minimise time in the boathouse.

****There will be midges so you might want to bring some bug spray!!***

Monday Morning Fitness Session

7:15am-8:30am

Everyone loves getting up early for kayak fitness sessions! We will be focusing on endurance/sprints with the aim of improving general fitness.

These sessions are not for teaching, so you must have come to a river session beforehand to attend. If you wish to know more or aren't sure if you can come, just drop us a message to discuss things.

Saturday Freshers/Beginners Paddle Session

We've had a lot of new interest in trying out the club recently, so this session is for new people only! A chance to see what our club is all about and give canoeing/kayaking a try!

BUCs polo Training In Stockton

8:00-12:00

Book an LFT test at MC for the Saturday Morning! Bring evidence of your negative test and a proper mask

Meet at 8am, be back in Durham by 12pm

If you have cars etc please bring them to boathouse for 8 and we’ll spread people and boats out to stay COVID safe


Friday Morning Fitness session

BUCs Training

Book an LFT test at MC for the Sunday morning - 9:30 slot


Meet at 9.30 am to load cars, leaving at 10am.

Ideally we can be on water at Stockton campus by 11am.

If everyone is agreeable I think it would be good to have a hour and a half session (11-12.30), to grab some lunch (12.30-2.30) and have a second session (2.30-4pm). The intention would then be to return to Durham for 5pm.

If people aren’t up for that, or weather is terrible on day, we could have 2/3 hour session and return home quicker. But if we are going over tactics I think it may be preferable to have a break. Sound ok?

If you have cars etc please bring them to boathouse for 9.30 and we’ll spread people and boats out to stay COVID safe
