Knock Off Tyne Tour

12/11/21-14/11/21

A joint kayaking weekend trip with Newcastle, Northumbria, and Leeds Uni! Sign up if you're interested!

Instead of our yearly Tyne Tour trip (that's been cancelled yet again), we are running a knock-off tyne tour.  Tyne Tour is a paddling festival that takes place over a weekend early in Michaelmas term. It's a fun weekend of kayaking and partying, with a ceilidh on Friday. This is not an event to miss. It's great fun for everyone involved and a fantastic event for all, regardless of your ability on the water.

In the past, prices were around £20-25 plus a little more for food/fuel. Worth every penny. Actual dates/prices will appear on this page as soon as we have them, along with more details about the event.

Rough Plan:

Friday Night -  A Ceilidh 8pm-10pm (A cèilidh or céilí is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering involving music and dance)

Saturday Day - Paddle along the River Tyne

Saturday Night - Night out in Newcastle

Sunday- Maybe a trip along the River Tees (Or hometime for those who need to leave early)
