Final chance to do some practice before BUCS slalom!
Meet at the boat house at 3:30. If you're going to S&C or otherwise can't come until later, let one of the drivers know and we'll work something out. We'll be back in Durham by 9 at the latest.
Make sure to bring plenty of warm layers. It can be very cold and if you haven't been before, you may well swim. Any questions, please ask.
Barrage centre fee is £10, and you will also be paying transport costs (usually ~£4).
The same as last term, 2 hours on the River Weir, improving skills and generally having fun.
This term, the Monday pool session is slightly different. We will be going to the larger Darlington pool, meaning we have enough space for half the pool to be used for skills such as learning how to roll or playboating and the other half to be used for additional polo training.
Meet at Maiden Castle at 19:45. We hope to be back in Durham by 23:00.
Bring: swimming costume and t-shirt/rash vest - anything you'll be comfortable wearing in a boat (just not cotton!). Don't forget a towel & set of dry clothes to wear in the car.
All the same as last term: polo training at Darlington pool.

More slalom/whitewater practice, perfect for those going to BUCS slalom and white water race.
Meet at 3.30pm at the boathouse, back in Durham for late evening. If you're interested in coming along, you need to have either been before, or spoken to Martin about it.
Tees Barrage is regarded as grade 3 whitewater, so if you come along, bring plenty of dry kit and a towel! There are showers to warm up afterwards, but you may well end up swimming.

Time for the annual refreshers trip!
It's that time of year where we pack up and go kayaking down whitewater in Cumbria. It's guaranteed to be a fun weekend of paddling in the beautiful Lake District.
We will be staying at the Braithewaite Hall in Far Sawrey, meaning sleeping bags/roll mats are a must! If you don't have them, just let us know and we'll do what we can to sort you out. We will be making our own food, as the hall has cooking facilities there.
Costs will be £16 for the accommodation, plus food and fuel contributions with that. As such, the total cost will be in the region of £30 for the weekend.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

As summative season gets underway, we are all gonna need some support. And what better way of finding someone to support you than being duct taped to them while you run round college bars playing games !
ill have some fun games n challenges for us to compete in in our pairs, cos i know that if theres one thing this club likes, its making everything into a serious competition
BUT DO NOT FRET! It wont be super intense if thats not your thing, and will also be a nice fun night to catch up with everyone
PLEASE sign up by Tuesday if you're coming (n dont sign up if youre not) - ill be using this list of people to pair you all up
On that note, if there's someone you particularly hate, let me know and i wont pair you up with them*
More details when I think of them (ill put them in the chat)
See u soon
* yes i will
