Canoe Polo Training
Canoe Polo training for those looking to improve or compete this year. Aimed to intermediate/competent paddler however no canoe polo experience is necessary. If your unsure if this is a session for you contact the Exec.
Aim to be on the water quickly with potential for a 10 minute break halfway through so bring a snack as well as the usual towel and change of clothes.

Just a chilled afternoon out on the River Wear - a few games, a few drills, otherwise just a relaxed paddle session to help you destress from exams.
Bring a spare change of clothes, shoes for the water, and a towel (we'll supply the rest). Where possible, come to the session in the clothes you intend on wearing on the water, to minimise time in the boathouse.

Welcome Fresher's! Join us for a chill and friendly morning of paddling on the River Wear!
These sessions are suitable for beginners, so don't worry if you have never tried kayaking before! This is the ideal time to try something new.
We provide all of the kayaking kit and the session is completely free (we offer three free sessions each). All you'll need is a spare change of clothes (just in case you get wet), some trainers to wear on the water, and a towel. Sunday Morning Fresher's Canoe Polo
11:00-13:00
Welcome Freshers! Heard of Canoe Polo before? Best way to describe it is basketball, rugby, and kayaking combined to make an action-packed game unlike any other.
"Each team has five players on the pitch (and up to three substitutes), who compete to score in their opponent's goal, which is suspended two meters above the water. The ball can be thrown by hand or flicked with the paddle to pass between players and shoot at the goal."
These sessions are suitable for beginners, so don't worry if you have never tried it before! This is the ideal time to try something new.

Returners River Trip - POSTPONED
This signup is closed/void. This trip has been postponed due to problems with car numbers - a following signup will be available shortly.
I'm really sorry that this is the case - know that we have done everything we can to try and make this possible, but we were blindsided at the last moment by circumstances beyond our control. We're as disappointed as you are, but this should only be a blip in our events.

Long awaited return to river trips!
FRESHERS - A separate signup will become available for a freshers trip. This signup is for returning students.
Weather/driver dependent, we will be running a river trip for returners. Grade 2/3 at a push, this should be a friendly paddle for those of you returning to Durham.

Chill Session
Chilled session - depending on signups, either simply chilled paddling or paddle skills. Either way, it should be a relaxed session.
You MUST bring a negative result from an LFT/PCR within 48 hours of the session to participate.
Note: Weather forecast is for potential thunder in the afternoon. Whilst this shouldn't be an issue, this session could be called off at the last minute if there is the potential for electrocution.
