Tuesday Pool Session
Cost - £5
Meet at the boathouse at 7:15 pm for transport to Hartlepool for the Pool session. We should arrive back and be done by 11pm
There are limited spaces based on the number of cars we have - so sorry if you can't get on.
This session will focus on the general boat handling skills - rolling and T-rescue in particular.
Priority is given to those who have paid for membership - if you sign up without having paid we may have to remove you from the session.
Bring clothes to get changed into - you will get wet but it's inside and warm. Sports clothes or a swimming costume with shorts/leggings and a sports top work well
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
You are required to take 2 university LFT Covid-19 tests a week if you are taking part in sport; we will be monitoring this. A test must be taken within 48 hours before the session.
If you sign up to this session and then cannot attend for any reason, you must let an exec member know asap and unsign on this page.
16:00-17:30
Kayak erg fitness sessions to improve general fitness and endurance. These sessions are made for you to gradually improve each week, so try and come each week to you keep up your progress. All levels are welcome as you will be going at your own pace and setting your own goals.
You may come to at least one session per week, but if there are spaces you're more than welcome to come to more. Next term we hope to set this training up properly with set groups per session.
Come in normal fitness/gym clothes with clean trainers (so we don't walk mud everywhere) and a bottle of water.
Hey everyone,
Just throwing this up now - I'm teaching people to solo canoe, and have 2 slots for it. 3.30pm meet, done at some point before the pool session.
Will be quite difficult, signup if you're fairly confident in a kayak.
We're back and grumpier than ever! READ THE BELOW NOTICE.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE - These sessions will be dark, and cold, and potentially quite miserable depending on how many alarms I missed that morning. Swimming at this time will likely lead to filling out paperwork because of the cold. As such, these sessions are exclusively reserved for club members who have either been to a morning session previously, or have been told by the exec that they are suitable. If you're in doubt, ask Martin.
Also, 7.15 start. Note the time change. Don't be stood around waiting.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Morning fitness resumes! Meet at the boathouse for 7.15am, off the water and dry-ish by 8.30am. Sometimes these will be super intense sprint sessions, other times it will be chill skills based workouts. No, I don't have a season plan for this. Bring gear that will keep you warm! And DEFINITELY bring spare clothes and a towel.
Small number of places for this session at post, but if more leaders are present this will change. If you're for some reason desperate to be out of bed super early on a Monday morning, keep an eye on this page.

Price for 2 rounds is £8.50, but ONLY with Student ID. Make sure not to forget these if you're coming along!
