Kayaking Trip to Wales!

From the 5th – 9th of June.

Expected cost including: food, accommodation, and transport, is about £100.

This trip Is planned to have a lot of activities, but there is no obligation to paddle every day. Some of the activities panned so far: easy white water on the Dee, a trip to the upper Tryweryn if it is releasing, then also a trip to the lower Tryweryn and maybe some other rivers if we have water. One day we might have a mini Dee fest with lots of fun and little challenges that all abilities can take part in. Flat water paddles along the canal that includes the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct are also planned (hopefully you don’t need to break the ice to get across it as I did in December). The plan is for it to be quite a social event, with a party planned on the 7th.

Please pay £24 to secure your place so I can pay for the scout hut. The rest will be payable after the event, and the exact cost has been worked out.

You will need a sleeping bag and roll mat as the scout hut doesn’t have beds. The club has some that can be borrowed, and there are showers. :) If you would like to sleep comfortably you can buy an air bed for as little as £7 and I can bring a pump that can be used to blow it up.

Extra Women's/NB Polo

Polo is fun and Chloe has her final exam on Tuesday morning, so what better way to spend Tuesday afternoon!

Don't worry if you're new to polo, if you're vaguely comfortable in a boat you're more than welcome! Equally suitable for those who came to BUCS this year - there'll be something for everyone.

Please bring spare clothes as usual. There'll be an COMPLETELY OPTIONAL opportunity at the end to practice rolling/binning now the river's a bit warmer - if you wanna do this definitely bring spare clothes!

Any questions, reach out to Sarah :)
