BBQ social

DUCC annual BBQ social. Meet at boathouse at 2pm. Bring your own drinks, and we will make our way to the racecourse for a relaxed afternoon. Some may also go onto the pub afterwards. 

Friday Morning 5k

5km (to prebends and back)
Meet at 8am
Must be confident and comfortable in a polo boat or wavehopper (no safety provided)

Another evening chill paddle. Take whatever boat you are comfortable in.

Please bring enough warm clothes for on the water (not jeans). Bring a spare change of warm clothes and shoes for afterwards as well as a towel.

Must be confident and comfortable in at least a wavehopper. 
Session is 53 minutes

We will paddle to the pub, have a chat, and paddle back. Meet at the boathouse 18:00. Bring a means of payment and id if you're alcoholically inclined. 

It is chilly, please bring a warm jacket.

Kayak Northumbria Polo Training

KN (the team Paul plays for) run weekly 2 hour training sessions in Newcastle on Tuesday evenings.
Meet at the boathouse at 16:15, back for around 21:00.

We are taking a car next week (5th May).
Only 9 spots.

Sessions cost £3pp (paid to KN) plus fuel (just under £5pp with 5 people, will decrease as more people sign up).

Unfortunately they currently don't have goals, so will be a training focused session, however they have some really good players and it is flat water so any training will be very valuable. If there is anything specific you would like to work on message Maddie.

Tees Barrage exam procrastination trip

A day trip to the tees barrage whitewater course, because revision is faff. 

Open to those with general whitewater competency, please ask if unsure

Cost is £18 (paid straight to barrage) + fuel. 
Bookings are done on the barrage website, please do not book yourself a slot until you have signed up here.
